Mr. Laney is a Founder and serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for National Bank Holdings Corporation (NYSE: NBHC), a bank holding company building a leading community bank franchise by delivering high quality client service and a strong commitment to stakeholder returns. Mr. Laney currently holds the same positions at NBH Bank. In addition, Mr. Laney is the founder of 2UniFi, an innovative platform that helps small and medium sized businesses succeed by leveraging technology through an integrated digital financial ecosystem.
Prior to joining National Bank Holdings Corporation in 2010, Mr. Laney served as the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services at Regions Financial, one of the nation’s largest full-service banks. He joined Regions Financial in late 2007 to lead the transformation of the bank’s wholesale lines of business. Prior to that, Mr. Laney had a 24-year tenure with Bank of America, where he held senior management roles in small business, commercial banking, private banking, corporate marketing and change management. He also served as President of Bank of America, Florida, with more than 800 banking centers and $50 billion in total assets. Additionally, he was a member of Bank of America’s Management Operating Committee.
Mr. Laney is active in the community. He is founder of the NBH Bank Do More Charity Challenge, which has raised more than $1.7 million for charity in its six years of existence. He has served on the Boards of the Colorado State Division of Banking and the Colorado Bankers Association and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Moffitt Cancer Center and Chairs the Foundation Board for USA Weightlifting.
